Keep personal information to yourself

Never share your card details with friends or even family members. Do not write down your PIN on the card, or keep it anywhere in your wallet. If you keep forgetting your PIN have it recorded somewhere in your home, and keep that under lock and key. Also, it is important not to give out credit card numbers and account names over emails and instant messaging programs, as these communication channels are not always secure and can be intercepted. Unless the transaction was initiated by yourself, don’t trust anyone asking for your personal information online.

If you follow the above ways to keep your credit card secure, your chances of falling victim to a credit card scam/fraud is almost eliminated.
